Soccor Season!! You need a place to watch all games!!

During the transition of major sports broadcast from round ball to fast ball lets not forget one of the foremost sports world wide. Soccer. All though much older and more reknown,World Soccor facilitates second rate popularity here in the U. S. Mexico, France, Brazilian, Caribeans; you name it. They adore soccer. Opening day to us is like Mardi Gras in all these countries. (Besides Canada of course - field of ice). Me, I'm a B-ball fan with the adapted game of football as my secondary. I grew up as soccer to be a activity we play to finish a P.E. year. Really fun to play, but not too much played on the block or the most popular Nintendo game.

In the U.S we account for less than 5% of soccer fans. That means a good majority of the fan base of U.S. soccer are soccer MOMS. Wow!! The most revered worldwide sport in the world is revoked by the nation that tenures the best athletic traditon. When was the last time anybody ever even knew of the game time of a college soccer game.

So lets crunch some numbers. The olympics soccer bolstered a huge 100 million per country viewing per match per day. The U.S. had As good as any soccer coverage broadcasted. But pailed a measley 2 million total. Be honest I'm not a die hard fan. Far from it. But give some respect. Other countries already can't stop talking bout us as damn yanks.

Some attempts are being made by the U.S. to expand the fanbase through. MLS brings in roughly 500k viewers a game (This includes actual people at stadiums). Minor leagues like USL 10,000. Even espn has a seperate sub network to facilitate it. Espn Deportes gives a regular highlight analysis of soccer from across the globe just as we send Nascar highlights over the airwaves. But even just theory of respect, can we do more? Can we rival the hype for a sport where one of the greatest nations in the world ignores to prestige of opening day?

International cable is one of the many usages which I think is great. Television from all over the globe gets many of its viewers from foreigners that are in the U.S. All games are broadcasted and commentaried by THEIR local sports guys. Talking bout a hoot to watch. Even If I Can't sometimes understand i'll just play some R&B on my radio. I may not here the GGGOOOAALLLLL. But I will hear "My Girl, Talking bout my girl" when I see a great scissor Kick score.

Make sure you grab a couple months from WatchTVonPC to watch your native country or other country games. One of the unknown broadcast resources the U.S. is trying to expand watching soccer viewing. Catch the soccer games from almost any sports station in the world. International T.V.? I Love it.

Till next time, your favorite opinionator, rt2night
